How to critically reflect on the language in conspiracy theories

This paper focuses on the research question of how the (linguistic) critical analysis and reflection of language use in conspiracy theories contruibutes to the professionalisation of prospective German L1 teachers. The analysis of empirical data on group discussions with students about a video on climate change denial shows that the depth of the examination of the linguistic design can have an impact on didactic considerations.
