multilingualism discrimination linguistic practices

Discrimination takes place in the educational context through linguistic affiliations and thus enables or prevents (linguistic) participation. Teachers and students use linguistic practices to construct a social reality in which multilingualism is seen as a problem. A deconstruction of this view shows that although discriminatory linguistic practices are mostly rejected in favor of a multilingual everyday school life, a truly multilingual school is mainly held back by institutional guidelines.
